Clinical study of a medicinal product — the study of the therapeutic, preventive, pharmacological properties of a medicinal product in the process of its use in an animal, including the processes of absorption, distribution, modification and excretion, through the use of scientific evaluation methods in order to obtain evidence of the safety, quality and effectiveness of a medicinal product, data on adverse reactions of the animal's body to the use of a medicinal product.

Types of research conducted:

  • Establishment of optimal doses of medicines and the duration of the course of treatment on a specific group of target animal species for certain indications;
  • Study of the effectiveness of the proposed dosage regimen and application scheme for productive animals in the conditions of farms and for companion animals in the conditions of veterinary clinics and nurseries engaged in animal breeding;
  • Identification of adverse reactions;
  • Study of the possibilities of expanding the indications for the use of a registered veterinary medicinal prod;
  • Study of the bioequivalence of reproduced and reference drugs.

Stages of research:

  • Development of research design;
  • Assistance in developing a research plan;
  • Formation of experimental groups of animals;
  • Conducting an experiment on target animal species;
  • Conducting laboratory studies of biomaterial selected from animals;
  • Analysis and processing of the received data;
  • Generating a report on the completed works.
